Christmas Donations

Food and boxes of clothes piled into Pastor Valerie's car

On Dec. 13, Pastor Valerie took food and clothing donations to their destinations.  About 50 lbs of food collected on Sunday mornings was taken to the Wesley Center in downtown phoenix where it will be given to needy families for Christmas.

New children's clothing was donated by the owner of the UPS franchise in Lake Pleasant shopping center and was given to La Iglesia Primera UMC in downtown phoenix.  They maintain a clothing closet for needy families.

Hope Kids

HopeKids works with children facing serious medical challenges.  This "ministry of presence" helps us give the children, their siblings and parents a chance to have fun building a project, prepared by Nenos, a Spirit Song member and master craftsman.  Siblings and the ill children alike, for once no differences!

Feed My Hungry Children - November 19, 2011

On November 19, we joined other churches at Community of Grace to fill food bags for "Feed My Hungry Children".  In an hour and a half, our table filled bags for 3,888 meals.  It was the "most fun you can have with a hair net!"  Along side other tables our shift prepared over 23,000 meals for hungry children with 124,416 completed for the day.  See their website HERE.  Scroll down to see the video!
